I often wonder if I'm ever going to make any real web design waves. There seems to be a massive amount of competition, and somebody is always ahead in design skills, tech savvy, and project leads. Just looking at the number of "post your work here if you're cool" sites available:
...it seems impossible to keep up. In these moments of doubt about the future, I remember one important principle: there's enough work for everybody.
Though it's within the realm of possibilities that everyone is discovering how fun it is to get a chillin' Mac, work from home, and design web pages all day, I think the real reason for all the competition is market demand. As long as there are thousands of new web pages created everyday, one can only hope that people out there care to hire someone to make them better. I think there's plenty of work to go around regardless of skill level.
In light of these matters, I have begun yet another redesign of Fusionfox. I've been getting a lot of flack about being a Cameron Moll rip-off, so I figure it's time to start over and produce something bigger and better. Well, maybe not bigger, but at least better. I aim to be found worthly of the aforementioned "post your work here if you're cool" sites. Expect something new by the end of August.

This is an encouragement. I am just getting started in web design, and I am glad to hear that you think there is work out here.
I'm sorry to hear that you are getting so much flack about looking like Cameron. I can certainly see the inspiration, but I think it is distictive, and beautiful. I'll miss this design, especially the background, but I'm excited to see what you come up with.
Thanks, Les! You're very kind.
If I were you, I'd get this design down as quickly as possible. This wasn't inspired, it's a complete rip.
I hope the author of the above comment has been satisfied with the new design.
